Amaryllis (Tribute to Piet Mondrian)

2017

A true amaryllis delivered without foliage.

Variable dimensions.

Unlimited edition. Cartel signed.

Exhibition : Festival Non-Aligné(e)s, AN 0  : cellule(s) dormante(s), 25 et 26 novembre 2017,  Générale Nord-Est, Paris, on a proposal by Jean-Charles Agboton-Jumeau, art critic and Laurent Marissal, painter.

This ephemeral work evokes one of the paintings of flowers that the artist Piet Mondrian had to paint for years, to ensure his sustenance. The
signed cardboard that accompanies it, is the cartel.

This work deals with the difficulties encountered by some artists who wish to pursue radical research while earning a living.
